Since 1957, this site has operated as a bowling alley. Originally built in 1942 as an A&P Grocery, the building was converted in 1957 when 10 lanes were brought over from next door (now Fuller Paint).
The building was built during WWII, thus no steel was used for the construction. Instead, the Lamella roofing style, which is a mathematical equation in and of itself, spans over 100 ft. at over 28 ft. high without any column support. It’s pretty radical, and we can’t wait for you to see it restored!
